Organization schema for your homepage or About page.
Person schema for your About page, author page or personal website.
Many sites output two or three conflicting Organization blocks from their theme, SEO plugin and custom code. Scan your homepage before adding new schema.
sameAs is a Schema.org property that lists the official profiles of a person or organization, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Wikidata and Wikipedia. It tells search engines and AI systems that all these profiles belong to the same entity, which helps Google connect your website to its Knowledge Graph.
Regular schema describes a page, such as an article or a product. Entity schema describes the identity behind every page. It is one of the clearest signals you control for Google's Knowledge Graph, Knowledge Panels and AI answers. For page-level schema, use our Schema Markup Generator.
| Entity schema | Page schema | |
|---|---|---|
| Describes | Who you are | What a page contains |
| Common types | Person, Organization, Corporation, LocalBusiness | Article, Product, FAQPage, Event, Recipe |
| Where it goes | Homepage and About page (once, with a stable @id) | Each relevant page |
| Main benefit | Knowledge Panels, brand understanding, AI answers | Rich results such as FAQs, product details and events |
| Key property | sameAs and @id | Content-specific fields |
Add only official profiles that you control or that are clearly about you. Quality matters more than quantity.
| Profile | Why it matters | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Wikidata | Directly linked to Google's Knowledge Graph through property P2671 | Everyone who has an item |
| Wikipedia | The most common source for Knowledge Panel descriptions | Notable people and companies |
| Confirms professional identity and company relationships | Founders, executives, companies | |
| YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok | Official social presence Google can verify | Brands, creators, public figures |
| Crunchbase | Company and founder data used by many data providers | Startups and funded companies |
| Spotify, Apple Music, MusicBrainz, Discogs | Music identity databases | Musicians and bands |
| IMDb | Film and TV identity | Actors, directors, productions |
| ORCID, Google Scholar | Academic identity and publications | Researchers and academics |
| Google Knowledge Graph link | Points directly to your Knowledge Graph entity | Entities that already have a Knowledge Graph ID |
Themes, SEO plugins and custom code each output their own Organization schema. Keep one, with one @id.
sameAs must point to a profile page, not a single post, video or tweet.
Use the exact same name in schema, on your website and across all profiles.
Link the founder's Person schema to the Organization with founder and worksFor so Google sees the relationship.
Your @id is a permanent identifier. Choose one, such as yoursite.com/#organization, and never change it.
Schema should describe what visitors can also see. Hidden or exaggerated claims can be ignored.
https://yoursite.com/#organization as the @id in any custom code so both describe the same entity.Stay Digital Marketers builds Google Knowledge Panels, Wikipedia pages and entity profiles for people and brands in more than 30 countries. Entity schema with clean sameAs links is one of the first things we fix for every client, and most existing generators make you type everything by hand.
This tool fills in what Google and Wikidata already know, checks your links, and warns you about duplicate schema, so you can publish correct entity markup in minutes.

Entity schema is structured data that describes who is behind a website, using Schema.org types such as Person and Organization. It states facts like name, logo, founder, description and official profiles in a format search engines and AI systems can read reliably.
sameAs is a Schema.org property that lists URLs of official profiles for the same person or organization, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Wikidata and Wikipedia. It helps search engines confirm that all those profiles describe one entity.
It helps, but it does not guarantee one. Google builds Knowledge Panels from many sources. Clean entity schema with strong sameAs links makes it easier for Google to connect your website to its Knowledge Graph and confirm facts about you.
Structured data gives AI systems clear, consistent facts about your brand. Combined with consistent profiles and independent coverage, it reduces the chance of AI tools confusing you with someone else or describing you incorrectly.
Person schema describes an individual, such as a founder, author or artist. Organization schema describes a company, brand or group. Founders and companies should each have their own schema, linked with the founder and worksFor properties.
Include official profiles you control or that are clearly about you: Wikidata, Wikipedia, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook and Crunchbase, plus industry profiles such as Spotify, IMDb or ORCID where relevant. Link to profile pages, not individual posts.
There is no required number. Most strong entities list between 3 and 10 official profiles. A few accurate, authoritative links are better than a long list of weak ones.
Add Organization schema to your homepage and Person schema to the About or author page that best describes the person. Use the same @id values everywhere so search engines know every reference points to the same entity.
@id is a unique identifier for an entity within your structured data, usually written as your domain followed by a fragment, such as https://example.com/#organization. It lets other schema blocks reference the same entity instead of creating a duplicate.
Paste the generated JSON-LD into your homepage or About page using a header and footer plugin such as WPCode or a custom HTML block. If you use Yoast SEO or Rank Math, either complete their Organization settings or turn that output off so you do not create duplicates.
It can if both output an Organization for the same site. This generator uses the same @id format as Yoast, https://yoursite.com/#organization, which reduces conflicts. Scan your site with the tool above to see what is already there.
Themes, SEO plugins and custom code often each add their own Organization schema. This can send conflicting signals. Keep one complete block with a single @id and remove or disable the others.
If you already have one, you can add it as an identifier and as a Google search link in sameAs. It helps tie your website to the existing Knowledge Graph entity. Find your ID with our Knowledge Panel checker.
Run your page through Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator. They show whether the code is valid and which entities are detected.
Invalid or misleading structured data is usually ignored rather than penalized, but schema that contradicts your visible content or describes fake information can violate Google's structured data guidelines. Keep every fact accurate and visible on the page.
Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up and no email required. You can generate, copy and download as much code as you need.
Auto-fill uses Google's public Knowledge Graph Search API and Wikidata. It only fills empty fields, so your own entries are never overwritten. Always review the details before publishing.
Our Schema Markup Generator creates page-level schema such as Article, FAQ, Product and Event. This tool focuses on entity identity: Person and Organization schema, sameAs links, founder relationships and duplicate checks for Knowledge Panels and AI search.
We build the entity home, schema, Wikidata records and coverage that help Google trust who you are, then help you claim and manage your Knowledge Panel.
